Substack is now the home for “The Well Said” by David Guilbault.

This newsletter is where I’ll share all my writing - songs, commentaries, musings.

My daughter says I have an “unrelenting need to be heard.” She didn’t mean it as a compliment. But, she’s not wrong. Some things need to be said, and said well. So, I have chosen Substack to aggregate my honest, heartfelt songwriting and my informed social commentary.

With a career background in journalism, I hope to make my postings perceptive, persuasive & worthwhile. Mostly, I hope to share the observable truth.

I invite you to join me here in mutual dialogue and discovery. It’s free to subscribe. Or, if you enjoyed my shared thoughts you can tip me what you’d like at “Buy Me a Coffee.”

Substack Newsletter

So, my Substack newsletter is called, “The Well Said.” It will cover my music, the news, our current culture and whatever else might strike me as interesting. I promise not to inundate you with too many postings. I will strive to make every new edition of the newsletter that goes directly to your inbox worth your time to peruse.

Substack Notes

You might also check out Substack Notes. That’s like a Twitter feed, only better. (Anything I post there will NOT go to your email inbox.) That’s a place for more frequent, shorter, conversational & informal posts. It’s also where I will put links to stories of the day worth knowing from trusted media sources.

So, thanks for joining me here. Let’s be thoughtful together. And please be safe and well. Kind regards. David.

People

As a journalist I sought the objective facts. Now, as a singer-songwriter and social commentator, I am seeking more subjective truths. I'll be sharing my heartfelt songs and observations, insights & analyses on the news, politics & culture.
